Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Did you know taking your eyes off the road for 5 seconds to read a text is like driving the length of an entire football field with your eyes shut if you’re traveling at 55 mph? Crazy, right? According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving claimed 3,522 lives in 2021.

If you need to pick up the phone while driving, be sure to pull over. When your GPS is in use, try to take advantage of your Bluetooth feature and connect to your vehicle. You can also ask a passenger to assist you. Use this month as a reminder to give driving your full attention.

Vehicle Spring Cleaning

Spring has sprung and it’s a great time to clear the winter clutter out of your car and tidy up with a little spring cleaning. I recommend clearing out trash and unwanted items you typically don’t use daily. Decluttering has been proven to boost your mood and improve physical health. So, after you get those wheels shining, here is what you can do on the inside:

1. Wipe away dust and dirt

2. Clean and disinfect cupholders, door panels, & handles

3. Take out mats and vacuum floor

4. Clean interior windows

5. Shampoo car seats

6. Spray your favorite scent & drive safe!

Have a great weekend,
