More than a million people expected to travel through Houston airports this Spring Break; Here’s travel tips

HOUSTON – Houston airports are expected to see more than two million travelers passing through this Spring Break, and experts say Friday may be the busiest day.

Altogether, more than 2.3 million passengers are expected to travel through our starting this week until March 18.

Luckily, Houston airports have made some changes to help out travelers.

Melissa Correa with the Houston Airport System said that they implemented new procedures after taking a look at what travelers needed.

This Spring Break, Correa says they have new digital signage that will help people, especially during the peak hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Additionally, there will be Houston police officers and tow trucks available to help move any cars left at curbs or unattended.

If you want to help yourself out while traveling on Friday, the best bit of advice is to give yourself time.

Try to arrive about an hour before you would normally.
